Default What form will SoundStorm 2 be in?

so it seems like soundstorm might come back into the picture when nforce5 comes around

as hinted by CEO of NVIDIA that it will be "awesome" and it will surprise some ppl

theinquirer have guessed that it might even come in the form of a soundcard seperate from the motherboard

what do you think?
lets all take a guess
hehehe

im pretty dissapointed myself as I'm a current owner of soundstorm audio. Its great, basically the equivalent as an Audigy. I really don't care anymore though considering nforce5 will be for intel, I'll just make do with a nForce 3 250 board soon with an Audigy 2 ZS and wait until nForce 6 comes out

nForce 6 will be for Intel, as well. They are discontinuing their AMD chipset line.

That's a pretty dumb move by Nvidia (as usual) because of the 64 bit line. With the latest AMD processors out, more and more ppl are making AMD their choice. I personally like the P4 line, as I have one in my laptop, but I made the choice to once again go with AMD for my desktop system, and more and more are doing that. Even Alienware is using the FX line of processors in their ultimate gaming systems.

Yeah... they are helping out intel cause now they are losing the cpu battle.. its quite apparent.

that doesn't make much sense...

Nvidia's out there to make $, and they wouldn't be jumping AMD ship and going Intel if they thought that Intel was losing; it wouldn't make financial sense.

Irreguardless of where the performance is, Intel sells more chips, thus nvidia would sell more nforce chips...

what i meant was that nvidia would have fared better sticking with AMD cause pound for pound their CPU's are better.
