setting "kill bits" to prevent spyware
Found a site that has a .reg file that will set ActiveX kill bits to prevent the installation of spyware without interfering with the funtionality of IE (if you use it).
http://www.spywareguide.com/blockfile.php
The .reg file is updated frequently so you might want to bookmark the site.

Thanks for that. I added it to the downloads section, here. This will save me tons of time whenever I visit Astalavista security sites!

There's an option for most vehicles that increases brake horsepower, increases mileage, increases driver control, lasts longer than the alternative, and even reduces the price of the vehicle. Despite all this, most people in this country choose the alternative, an automatic transmission.

Spy/Ad-Ware is my biggest problem at work. I seem to spend more time fixing problems relating to it more than anything else. I haven't "acid" tested this fix yet but I'm considering setting up a test system just to see how good it really is.
I need to find sites that are bad for installing Spy/Ad-Ware first before I can start testing. Anyone know of any?
