Default Mac Hacks Allow OS X on PCs

"Imagine if your next Mac cost you only $300, and ran faster than any G4 or G5 you've ever used.

That future may already be unfolding: Hackers have found a way to bypass a chip designed to prevent the Mac OS from running on non-Apple PCs, which are often cheaper than Macs."

I don't know about you, but I'm all for a possible OS alternative.

Why won't Steve Jobs just wise up and just sell an X86 version of the OS? I'm hoping that he's warming up to it and is just trying to give it time so as not to seem hypocritical. He's got a good track record at doing that including several Intel-bashing campaigns over the last decade.

Tyler, have you use Darwin? I'm going to try to get every component of OS X to work on my AMD, maybe we could collaborate.

I've never used Darwin, I just read about it though and it sounds very interesting.
