"Seagate is one of the few manufacturers in the market today who is producing hard drive products for both enterprise and desktop segments. For the enterprise sector, they have their Cheetah and Savvio SCSI products, in contrast to the Barracuda and Momentus SATA/IDE product lineups for the consumer market. While this strategy has served them well in terms of addressing all the markets available to them, at time it also feels that some product lineups often get preference over others. While their competitors can focus all of their energies on a single product line-up, Seagate has to maintain a fine balance of which products to promote to which customer."
