Default Digit-Life Review: ATI RADEON 3850/3870 (RV670): Architecture, Synthetics, Gaming

The revamped RV670 is based on the RADEON HD 2000 (R6xx) architecture. This GPU includes all the key features of the series, such as the unified shader architecture, full DirectX 10 support (DX 10.1), high-quality anisotropic filtering and a new antialiasing algorithm with the increased number of samples. The key innovation is the 55 nm process technology, which helps reduce the price and fit these solutions into the Mid-End price range.
