Epson has organized a major press "gathering" in Lisbon in the beginning of April. As expected, the first one to present us with some history was Takao Mimura (in charge of the Imaging Products Marketing Department). Epson's roots reach quite far back in history. We learned the fact that it was them who presented the world's first mini-printer especially for Tokyo 1968 Olympic games. The first model was abbreviated to EP (Electronic Printer) 101, inspiring the company name itself. Once back to present, mister Thierry Bagnaschino (the marketing director of the LP&VI department) shared some interesting information with us.
