Default Has anyone ever played Empire Earth, i need help

Everytime i try to run the game, an error message pops up saying that it has performed and illegal function and a LOW-ENGINE.DLL has caused a page default.  I want to know how to fix it and play the game.  thx.

according to Sierra, it is caused by your DirectX Draw. It is either your vid card acceleration is not high enough, DirectX is disabled, or your vid card is not supported.

There's an option for most vehicles that increases brake horsepower, increases mileage, increases driver control, lasts longer than the alternative, and even reduces the price of the vehicle. Despite all this, most people in this country choose the alternative, an automatic transmission.

try going to sierra support and telling them about your problem, i recently found out Empire Earth doesn't work on my comp right now cuz of my vid card not being supported.
