Takin mask off of Icon Edit 7.1

i know that this is probably a stupid question...but hey...i know u guys will help me..ok i just downloaded Icon Edit to adjust some icons on my desktop and also to create a skin for Winamp...and i made an icon...but when i use it for a desktop icon...its all screwed up...due to the Icon Mask...i think what the icon mask is is a shadow of everything that has been layed out on the icon space...except i need to find away to clear that in order for my icon to look how it is suppose to look...any help would be benificial...thx
