The problem with moving to broadband, they already have broadband, is the cost of it. All broadband services charge from $30 and up. Yeah there are some that charge you less for a period of time and then charge around $50. Most people that are on the net don't see the need to go to broadband. Even AOL can't have a low enough monthly fee for people to jump to broadband. No company can withstand keeping broadband at $20 forever.

sorry but AOL doesnt have broadband

and broadband can be 30 CAD

which is about 20 USD
and its every month without any discounts or what so ever

Shaw's Lite Cable

slower than regular cable at its max
but still decent for surfing and playing games without lagging

better than ISDN
and cheaper than Satellite

so AOL should move to be working with local phone companies
especialy in areas where noobs are commonly located
lol :P

AOL does have broadand in the United States, but it isn't fiscally responsible to do it in Canada becasue the market is saturated by smaller companies.

link please

i can not find anywhere that says AOL has broadband
ive tried searching before i made my previous post

but even on the Pricing Page on www.aol.com (not .ca)
it only shows and provideds the prices for USA

and when i found a link for AOL broadband
it redirects to this irrelevant page
http://www.aol.com/info/international.adp

if they are really going broadband, they are not doing it in an effective scale

they need to seep through small towns and cities where ATT isnt popular and where Comsat is troublesome

they need to invest in their own service provider
their own ISP
their own nodes

sorry i did not find such info on broadband before
but i still want to see more info on their broadband service if anyone can find it

should work
As well as the AOL/TW cable assets, AOL will be taking over operation of AT&T's cable internet services
