Default Content Management System

Has anyone here had any good experiences with php or perl based Content Management Systems?

I am planning on migrating a large site over to one of these, but I cannot find one that has everything that I need.

Any ideas would be great!

take care

The best content management system that I know of is the System Administrator or Web Master

Ok on a serious note what have you tried thus far? I mean are you looking for something that you just have to check in on once and a while or something that just plain runs itself once you've plugged your data in?

What exactly are you looking to do ?

I want to be able to post, edit, and manage articles and reviews from a web interface.  Preferrable I would like them to be stored in a database and be able to have a search and sorting feature.

Not sure if this helps or not but this was posted on one of my forums about "content management":

Everyone is looking for a simple content management system. One thing that's easy to do to maintain a website is a weblog.

Here are two that work on the server. You'll need some CGI Perl installation.

If you don't want to mess with Perl, then here is the king of all weblogs; Blogger.com

http://www.blogger.com/

And another like it:

If you have a PDA with PalmOS then here's a perfect choice:

Finally The Complete Guide to Weblogs

Good luck

an easy (though not exactly practical) would be to have a forum... have 1 just for articles with posting turned off.. you could straight to it on the site and to articles

another thing would be a news script, dont know any with search facilities though

Found another one for you to check out.

http://www.ultraapps.com/Portal/

This one uses .asp and mysql and I have a friend that has zero mysql experience and had it up and running in one day.

http://www.beebotwebdesign.com/portal/
check it out.

I think this does all that you're asking for.
