Default I dont know if this is considered hacking but...

I have a Windows 98 CD that I lost the manual with the product key on it.  I read on this webpage if you go into "system.da" and search the string "ProductKey" or  "ProductId" it will show it.  Well that only works if you have installed the Windows 98 platform and are using it.  I tried searchng for it.  No luck.  Does anyone else know a way of retrieveing it?

A good place to get codes for products is http://astalavista.box.sk

Remember to only obtain product keys for programs that you have purchased.

(had to write that)

Another place to go is the Efnet IRC channel. Look for the PhrozenCrew and get OSCAR.

Course I support the "you should own the product" statement as well. I own all my software. But sometimes the keys get lost etc. Shouldn't have to buy the software again.

first off, yes that is technically hacking.

secondly, you could get serialz2k. It's a big-ass database of serial keys
