Default PartitionMagic 8.0

I have just spent over an hour trying to send a pre-sales enquiry about Partition Magic (now owned by Symantec). This company truly has the worst designed support system ever devised. It is clearly intended to give as little support as possible unless you pay their exorbitant call charges - which I do not feel inclined to pay when I only have a pre-sales enquiry.

Rant over...!

I am currently using Partition Magic 7.0. My hard drive has 3 boot partitions and I have PM7.0 installed on all 3. Mostly I just use it for switching the active partition so that I can change OS's. PowerQuest, like most other software manufacturers, were happy for customers to install multiple software copies as long as they could only use one copy at a time.

However, Partition Magic is now owned by Symantec - who I know from past experience to be money grabbing shiesters. They usually insist that you pay for every single copy of their software - even though the software will be installed on the same machine and only one copy can be used at a time.

All I wanted to find out was whether I could install PM8.0 on the same basis as PM7.0 (i.e. one license, covering the whole PC). Does anyone know if this is still possible with PM8.0 - or has it gone down the inevitable Symantec route of trying to extract the maximum money as possible, whilst offering the absolute minimum support?

Alternatively, can anyone suggest an alternative to Partition Magic that does a similar job?
