Default NTLDR missing (occasionaly)

When I boot up (win XP(sp2)) I've been getting that NTLDR missing message. But it not happening every time. I changed cables to that drive but it still does it. Since its only happening occasionaly do you think that my hard drive might be going? And If thats a good bet could you recomend a disk cloning program I might be able to pick up say at like Circuit City/BestBuy.
It first occured after I clicked on an App on Java Web Start Application an then my comp froze up I restarted it w/ either reset button or off/on button in the back. And when it doesn't happen an I can boot up normally I noticed that this game (guild wars)i'm playing now locks up an when I restart the comp I get the NTLDR missing all the time. To be fair the game has froze up on me before but never got the NTLDR msg when rebooting. Any Ideas?
