Default overclocking amd. why must it be such a pain in the arse?

is there any way to overclock the amd 4000+? i like the processor but i know it was deliberately limited and I would like to decide how fast the bloody thing runs without forking out 800 quid on the fx 55. i fail to see why they have locked the multiplier when surely it is ours to potentially ruin with our tinkerings? any help or opinions would be cool.

basically, AMD is just as much of a greedy, slimy, nasty company as Intel... that means that you're not going to get a good overclocking chip from them anymore.... that's how they make thier money...
