Hell vee_ess I didn't know there were any other grease monkeys here.  How much do ya allready know about cars and have ya been workin' on any yet or just got high dreams of skinnin' you're knuckles.  I was a mechanic at one time (along with about 6 other jobs that have no conection to each other in any way).  Still try do all of my own work when I can.  Done some crazy moddin on them to.  That's where you can void very expensive warraties very fast.

just what we do in my auto class in my high school and i have helped my dad with minor things. so basically just high hopes. there is something about cars that is cool for me. i like Europeans cuz they are just way better engineered than anything else (excluding French cars and VW's, no offense). For me, i also like to try to improve them. not just making them faster but simultaneously making them more efficient, with better longevity, etc. Basically improving engineering. I take it you like it. tell me more. and yeah, voiding waranties in autos are way more costly. just let's not say anything to the others. lol

I normally get stuck with repair and that sucks.  My wife's truck had been totalled but the jerk fixed it at home and hid the damage.  Took me a year to find it.  Ended up chaging the frame on a 95 Ford F-150.  It had a three inch body lift which came off.  On went a 4" Skyjacker lift.  But the 33" tires hit the bumper with the new lift.  "Had me the sawzall"  Instant clearance.  Truck run's good but we need to rebuild the 302.  It's got some age and a lot of hard miles.  Just get good with the gas wrench.  Oxygen and Acetyln are the best gift a mechanic can give himself.

A cutting torch.  It uses the two gases and can cut though allmost any part of a car.  Great for stuck and rusted bolts.  As well as any other part of the car that just pisses you off.
