Default Current motherboard recommendations?

I'm getting the itch to build another rig. Wondering what motherboards are highly recommended. I'm looking to build (of course) a very fast system. I'm interested in the quad core intel chips...any suggestions out there?

The i680 is currently the fastest motherboard available. I do believe it supports the Quad core. That being said you might want to check into how user friendly it is, not to mention its very expensive. Quad core is not really supported by many applications? What do you intend to use this system for? Whats your budget? What are the features and aspects you are seeking from the system and board?

There is no budget...

I like to build the fastest pc's possible, basically, and overclock them, watercool them, etc.

Intels latest + an Nvidia SLI is your best bet. Two 8800 GTX's 640M should make anyone jealous

I just set up a rig with some simple watercooling, the 680i from evga (122-NF68-A1), and a q6600 SLACR (G0 Stepping). It was quick and painless to get the FSB up to 1333 in the bios, running at 3.0 ghz without a problem. I recommend it, but I'd check out some of the cons, apparently there is a high limit (***edit: what I mean is there is apparently a max that is set***) on Raid throughput, as well as less overall overclocking potential than some p35 boards. It also has problems running 8gb of ram I hear. Working fine for me, overclocking cpu and gpu a breeze, 2 pci-e x16 slots would make SLI very nice if money is not an issue...
