Default Stock Intel Cooler better than first thought

at first i had a post asking if the stock p4 cooler would cool enough for oc'ing.. someone said no, not even for 1.8 ghz *i have a 1.6* so i bought a big, noisy fan from vantec that cooled well.. but was a neucance.. I decided i'd try to bring that stock, but quiet intel fan outta the box for another run. I first tried at 1.6, temps stayed reasonable under stress so i went to 2.1.. same so i went all teh way up to 150 fsb *max for this lamer motherboard* 2.4 ghz and right now i'm at 35C 95F.. think i'll be sticking with this fan... btw.. those of you familiar with my video card incident.. i put a nice layer of the same silver grease

Default AMD suxxors big bollox

AMD might be good for gamers but don't even try to use it as a server or anything else for that manner. Test's are showing that between AMD and Intel AMD is faster... but Intel is better.

AMD is far more reliable in the long-term. Currently Intel is beating AMD pretty easily in performance.

For games, it seems the P4 3.2Ghz is beating the AMD 3200+

Besides, I've had NOTHING but bad experience with AMD...

the newer intel stock sinks are good

also 2.4C is relatively cool compared to old models of 1.8 and such

so stock is surprisingly well fitted with a 2.4C even when overclocking
