After I removed my screaming Delta Screamer HSF, my ears quickly stopped bleeding as the Iceberg only ran at a mere 33Db; in other words very very quiet. I used a Sound Meter at a distance of about one inch from the radiator fan. This is a lot better than 89Db coming from a Delta Screamer at the same range. The 1" range is the reason the quoted noise levels are quite a lot higher than the ones quoted both on manufacturer's specifications, and at other review sites.The decibel scale works in a way that every 3db of increase, the sound is doubled, so by that means, the Delta is a grand 18 times noisier than the Ahanix kit.

alot of the reviews also use that kind of false calculation
for the decibel system, for every 10 degree of increase, it represents a tenfold increase of loudness.

for example, the increase from the hum of a refrigerator to an air conditioner is 20dB. This is 2 increses of 10 dB, so the increase in loudness is 10^2, or 100. Hence, an air conditioner is 100 times as louder as a refrigerator

lets not even talk about the delta being 89dB, because an average street traffic make about the same amount of noise...

that is one of the most falsely and worst review i have seen in months...

I agree *L8 I am a certified audio tech and that is the most retarded review I have seen, who the hell measures spl at 1 inch *LOL* for a pc case I thing the standard is 36 inches with the case closed *LOL*

i can bet 50 bucks says that he didnt actualy measure it

who knows, but I still think that method of measurement is retarded, that is like measuring how loud a cars engine is by sticking a meter in the exhaust pipe or under the hood next to the header and not in the drivers seat at head level *LOL*
