Canadian Military

recently the news media has been reporting how crumbled our military structure is in its finance sector

since Sept. 11 2001, Canada has been aiding USA in the war against terrorism

we sent hundreds of thousands of troops over-sea
including numerous of the world's most advance naval support

now, we are so poor that the following conditions are happening:

1. Coast Guard and Rescue has no money to fuel up their boats and ships
forced to dock on routine patrols

2. Half of our military ships are docked because we dont have enough trained sailors

3. Most of our military planes are grounded, simply because we dont have enough spare parts

4. some soldiers are receiving insufficient trainings because facilities are poor



all these raised options for our government to choose
canadians are being asked this question

What should the Canadian National Defence be like?


i personaly choose elite forces only

hmmmm.... they give guns to canadians.. *LOL*??? I think you guys should stick with the trolling boats and 50mm guns only for the navy like in the pic and use police in riot gear when you have to much to drink, otherwise it is generally to damn cold to care about invading and the usa handles about every problem there is weather we should, or should not stick our noses into it.

the thing is canada should not be depended on USA even though USA will help

if we depend on USA, the US gov will take advantage of it
its dark politics...
and its all about money

Why does canada need a military anyways..?? that is like aussie land having one, even if you have it or they had it, it would just sit and rot away.

Aussies definately need it
they have twice the amount of military when they are only 2/3 of Canada

they are surrounded by foreign countries and also the South China sea nearby makes a good war topic if you know what im talking about

also canada needs it to defend itself
incase if USA got shelled by nuclear weaps and lots its abilities to fight back
Canada is the only neighbour to trust
UN takes a while to get the troops to one place
