Hmm...you want to see our 'work stations'? Well, here's my new video editing computer. Nothing killer, just somthing to use so my Athlon is free.

Specs if your wondering...
Intel Pentium III 733MHz
256M SDRAM
GF2 GTS w/ 32M RAM
48x CD ROM
10G Maxtor(boot), 80G Wester Digital(video) HD's
Generic firewire card
Running Windows 2000

Nothing killer, but does a great job with the videos I load on it. And if your curious, the camera is a Sony TRV240. I origanally planned to get a much more expencive one, but I got an offor on this I couldn't refuse...

I use Adobe Premiere 6.0. Works great with both my DV card and my analoge card. However, I guess this is a bit beyond basic home video editing... The program I started editing with was Ulead Video Studio 3.0. I don't know anything about the newer versions, but this is a great program to start with...

Also, do you plan to export your videos to VHS, or just make VCDs and such? I don't know if Ulead has the capability of exporting through DV, much less even using it. But, my version is pretty old...
