well, i've never been through one either, there were just warnings. although i did try to leave the office to go home during a warning (tornade sirens going off) and almost drove into a forming funnel cloud. yeah, i turned around reeaal fast.
i'm originally from charleston, south carolina (very close to the coast) and have been through a few hurricanes.

Yeah, I haven't been through any really. The biggest storm that I was a part of would be a downdraft microburst. Wind's got pretty hight too. Uprooted trees, blew off roofs (my school roof as well)...crazy night. I remember it too. August 14, 1996. Vee_Ess knows exactly what I'm talking about. And Aemon, thx. Still on my crappy old Cyrix 300. Waiting and looking for a new mobo and processor... But wow, do I want my old computer back....it's like Ive lost a piece of me!

Yeah dude at least you have a window to look out. Try looking at white walls all day long! You will start imagining things on them from time to time. "Wow, look at it snow outside..."

Keefe, if you are imaging that while working in a room with no windows, I think the paint fumes are starting to get to you!
