I recommend this model: http://computers.cnet.com/hardware/0...ir.productinfo. It is about $300 and recieved great ratings, read the "Full Review" to get a lot more info... Hope that helps

That a ok lcd monitor but the image contrast ratio is 330:1 and the max sync rate (V x H) is 75 Hz x 61 kHz. This monitor doesn't look to hot for 300 big ones.

sigh.. where did all the smart guys go.. twl is left with .. anyway.. Plan on spending $400 plus on a 17 inch.. and imo a 15 inch lcd is useless.. save up and splurge on something good.. (looking at gaming hardware sites helps..) don't be cheap or you wont enjoy it .. *still has a cheap 17 inch crt..* <-- i want a good lcd too..

Default Gaming monitor.

If you're planning on using an LCD monitor for games, you want to find one with the lowest response time possible. Most Samsung, Viewsonic, and Sony monitors have really nice image quality, but they have response times of 25-40ms... you want to find one with 20, or less. You should check out NEC monitors. I bought a 17 inch NEC monitor with a 16ms response time, and it works just as good as my old crt. http://www.necmitsubishi.com/product...4&division=NEC .. Thats mine, but it cost me 415 bucks w/ shipping. Look around, you may find better deals.
