I just defragmented mine as well, I was in the same boat as you.

To get it really *really* defragmented I used both the windows defrag program and another 3rd party defrag program.

It worked great!

wow thats really ugly....dont even know how bad my 100gig drive is....but it wont matter soon becaseu i will be formating for my new hardware coming in.

lol i defrag once a week and i have NTFS. So i really don't need to much at all.

no, you wouldn't need to if you did it once a week..but then again how much stuff are you moving around on your harddrive? and how often?

i have 90 gigs and stuff is being written all day everyday from kazaa, dc, and hotline.

oh yeah and i defrag every 9 months or so lol..

i'm surprised my drives are so durable..anyway i've had my drives for 3 years

i use my computer everyday for about 4 hours at the least. I am always downloading and writing stuff. but i still don't need to do it that much ik.It makes me feel better.

It makes me feel better to defrag and format often too... Even though it has never said that I need to defrag - and I dont even download much!

You should really defrag only if you download a lot and or install a lot of programs. If you work with large files, you should also defrag. If you don't do anything like that, defrag once a month. And make sure u backup before you defrag. It will save you a lot of pain later.
