Default The worm that crashed the Internet in 15 minutes

Wired has an interesting article about the Slammer Worm that brought the internet to it's knees. Scary stuff.

The problem is that much of the Internet's backbone and structure has MS SQL involved so whether or not you run it, it affects you.

true. but most hackers/virus-worm writers prefer to get into windows-based systems since most of them are unix/linux/open source fans
