Default Old man new to the board!

Hello everyone,

I am a Telecom Engineer at my job. I have been working with Cisco routers and switches for the last 10 years. I just became the goto guy for our 7000 series Central Office routers. I have read all sorts of books to get aquainted with the Cisco SOP. Now after so many years my company wants me to become certified and eventually start training Engineers and field techs around the USA. I am a Cisco World subscriber and read it as soon as it gets to the office. My company wanted me to take a course at the college near where I work, but I feel I could pass the CCNA if I only study new materials and practice with materials found here in this board. I am planning to take the test in September. So please any help you guys may assist with would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Monte

Welcome!

I took Cisco I and II in high school, and passed it. I'm good at general networking, but not so good with routers. However, other people around here are.

not currently. My area of expertise is computer hardware, software, web development, CGI development, networking. But I don't have a job right now.
