AMDZone has a review of the Epox KT600 obard:
"The Southbridge area is very busy. The VT8237 Southbridge includes two channels for Serial ATA. The connectors are just below the yellow IDE connectors and floppy connector. The purple IDE connectors correspond with the Highpoint IDE RAID chip below them. Above the RAID IDE connectors are the color coded front panel pins with a three pin fan connector to the right. "

Overclockers New Zealand has posted a review on ASRock K7S8XE SiS748 Motherboard:
"As we can see from the scores above, ASRock K7S8XE's performance is roughly on par with Via's KT-400A chipset (Gigabyte 7VAX-1394A). It is not at nF2 level yet but it should be fine for the average office and home users."

Infoworld has 64 bit Linux tests on Opteron and Itanium. Their results show Opteron trouncing Xeon and Itanium under Apache, but closer under Zeus. Pricing as configured put the Itanium system 6-7 times more expensive than the Opterons tested, but if you take a look at the conclusion from Infoworld they apparently threw out their own results. They had at least some of these Opteron boxes before the April launch and here in August we see results that are not interpreted correctly while our sites for the most part got screwed for Opteron test units. Having dealt with Appro and Newisys for some time I’ve confirmed that. I think this is a good reason why AMD should not rely on IT mags solely for their Opteron reviews. Their plan has backfired, and I fought hard for more test systems for sites like ours.
