Default 3.8 ATI Drivers Allegations

Can anyone confirm these rumours?

Some people are claiming that the new ATI drivers force overheating on certain Radeon cards, and some are saying that it's slander in favor of a sluggish Nvidia. You can take a look at the source of the post below:

ATI already said there's nothing diferent between the 3.7's and 3.8's that could be causing this.

well i found more instability and the monitor flashing, so it was enough for me to switch back
