Default 6800U at Gamers Depot

Gamers Depot takes the 6800U out for a spin and attempts to answer the question:

Is this the must have card of the year!

Actually I will wait for ATI's next gen card. My opinion is it will most likely have better quality visuals and produce more frames per second.

Then again I could be wrong and S3 could come out with a new technology enabling 1000+ fps on Far Cry. Their vid card would cost about $100 each, have a pure copper heatsink while running silently, and have 512 MB DDR 3, and support DX10 and Pixel Shader 3. Im down for three of those, how about everyone else?

I'll wait as well. I looked at the frame rates and the ATI 9800 XT comes pretty close in cases, so we may see some stiff competition.

Yes interestingly enough the performance of the 6800 Ultra was only slightly above the performance of the 9800XT which is 6 months plus its elder. Given that information, I would expect that the new ATI 420 or Radeon X800Pro will bring a smackdown with it.

Not really, the X800 XT was running at 1600x1200 while the 6800 was running at 1280x1024 and the X800 XT was equalling or beating it the whole time, so we can call that a rape.
