Hi,
I'm one of the developers of MediaMonkey, and just wanted to announce its availability. You can think of it as a cross between Winamp 2.x and iTunes: a lightweight and easy to use music manager/jukebox. It catalogs CDs, and OGG, WMA, APE, MPC and MP3 files and synchronizes them with portable audio devices. It looks up track data through Freedb and the Web, and it includes a tag editor and file renamer. A CD ripper, audio converter and playlist editor round out the package. Volume leveling and Winamp plug-ins are supported.
This release adds synchronization functionality for portable audio devices that are USB Mass Storage devices. I'm trying to get a better idea of what devices work well, what devices don't, and what functionality would help to make synchronization work more effectively. Any feedback would be appreciated.
New in this release:
-Portable device synchronization (for players that are USB mass storage devices)
-Support for APE & MPC files
-Visualization plugin support
-MP3 Gain volume leveling
-Internationalization (unicode tagging & multiple languages including German)
+ lots more (see the changelog)
