it's either fake or the author is a dumbass.

and if you think it's true, you're a dumbass.

i say this because anyone who was serious about it wouldn't be so hypocritical by using the images for humorous/counterproductive messages.

'jesus saves!' 'he sure does!'
on some demonic looking fat dead hobos... come on, think about it.

Wait, now let's not go knocking religion. I am in a Christian rock band with hopes on going big. We are in church every Sunday, and I can guarentee every Christian isn't like this. I have Doom 3 preordered, I love that type of game. I drink a little and smoke some, but that doesn't make me, a Christian, like ppl who want to raise Hell (literally) about a video game. Just ignore them and remember that the gates of Hell is open to those who want to turn ppl away from Christianity because of their arrogance. I am speaking of the ones who've made the site.

Now yes, I may have strong opinions about the gay marriage thing and abortion, but those are topics that are proven to be wrong as the Bible states, but nowhere in the Bible does it state that a video game about the gates of Hell opening up should be banned. If these protestors wanted to just ban Doom, well what about Painkiller another game about Hell. The Bible does talk about the evils of the world, but translated that means if the game causes you to go out and sin, then you should not play it, but if it doesn't then it's not wrong. The world is full of free will and that's why this game should exist.

Abortion is murder and being gay is what got Soddam and Gomorrah destoryed. Those things are wrong, but Doom 3 is not.

Discussion?

<mod note>
if you want to discuss religion, abortion, or sexuality, start a topic on it. Try not to take the point of a thread (in this case, i'm not too sure what it's about, but it's not about those things per say). I'm sure people will be happy to discuss those topics. But come up with some kind of thesis or something like that in your own topic, and then it can be discussed.

yea.. i'm not going to touch that flaming ball of flame juice until it's in its own thread... just suffice it to say that I don't think a book should run your life.. that's all..

i actually dont think religion should be discussed in an open forum ever, unless it is a forum devoted to religion, its causes too much strife on the boards. this is a tech forum.

this doesn't mean i dont feel strongly about what i believe in, things like what gnogtr has already mentioned. but just not in the forums. there are better ways and places to discuss these things.

'tis my $0.02.

edit: i forgot that i added "later" to my sig! ha!
