Testing

As stated the Corsair TX750W review, the quality of power being supplied to your components is very important in order to get the best performance from your system. The Real Power Pro 550 was hooked up to our test machine above and polled each rail to get a states from each rail under power up, idle and under load. The meter showed that power supplied to the different components was very tight with little to no variance. The results of the meter monitoring each rail, the PSU never went under the rails power level. In most cases, the rail had .03 DC volts more than the rail was rated for. Having a PSU able to respond so quickly to the power needs is a mark of great engineering.

Conclusion

The Cooler Master Real Power Pro 550W is a product worth putting on your list to replace your presently aged PSU or for your next rig. The 5 year warranty (when you register) is a piece of mind to have that your hard earned money is going into a product that is backed by a manufacturer for the next 5 years. This type of warranty is very hard to find in today’s market. The Real Power Pro 550W performed at and above what Cooler Master stated it is capable of doing. This review awards the Real Power Pro 550W by Cooler Master the Approved Hardware Award!
