Cable Management
The base of the speakers gives room for a cable management system. This is a nice feature for these speakers. The cable management has a small spool in the void below the speakers and the cable is locked into place by pinching it where the wire exits the rear of the speaker. Simple and effective.
Other Features

-Power button on the speaker - pretty standard, though the power button is large enough that it is easy to access.
-Volume knob on the speaker- again, pretty standard, the design is good because it sticks out about a half inch and is easy to grip.
-Headphone plug on the speaker - Not all speakers have this feature, could not begin to tell you why. This is the single most handy feature when privacy is needed or gaming is a concern. Without the headphone jack on the speaker, you are required to get to the back of the computer in order to swap plugs. This is the single most disappointing lacking feature of my Altec Lansing speakers at home.
Editors thoughts
The Labtec Spin-55 speakers are inexpensive speakers with mediocre performance. The niche they fill is that of a limited computer user sound source. Users that want to be prompted with beeps and tones to indicate a new email has arrived. These speakers should not be purchased for gaming or MP3 aficionados. Buy a set for your parents computer or your wife's PC, if you want quality sound, consider looking for a Labtec component style speaker system. Considering the price, the speakers do what they are designed to do.
