Antec Three Hundred
Conclusions
Lets review! The Antec Three Hundred is designed to be a low-end case for the computer gaming enthusist as well as the general user. With an average selling price of around $70, this case is well within the price range of anyone who spends any kind of money at all on their computer rig. Antec has provided peerless cooling options in the ThreeHundred: two stock fans with the option to mount three more and a case that is tailored towards cooling with a perforated front bezel and a bottom-mounted power supply to keep your rig clear from cables. The uniqueness of the built in cooling features, without support from any of the other benefits of this case, is more than enough to put this case at the top of its class!
Antec didn't stop with advanced cooling features. They also provided thumbscrew mounting for your hard drives as well as your cdrom drives. Most low-end cases still come with the typical flat top, phillips head screws that require a screwdriver to fasten. Both side panels of the case open and close using thumbscrews, and integrated cable management systems are provided to make your cable job just a little bit less of a rats nest. Everything considered, you are getting a $100+ case when you consider the feature set, for $30 less. The ability to select your own power supply instead of being forced into a manufacturer selected PSU is also a nice feature.
In closing, if you have around a hundred dollars (don't forget your power supply), are looking for a simple case without a lot of "bling" that will keep your rig cool and yet provide expandability while looking slick, the Antec Three Hundred is the case for you!
