Overclockers Hideout  Nitro Watercooled Case review

Performance/Testing:

  Testing System
Processor  AMD XP1800
Motherboard  Abit KX7333
Video Card  ATI Radeon 8500
HD  WD 80G 7200rpm
Operating System  Windows XP Pro

The following temperature results below were recorded using a temperature bay probe which was placed on the core of the CPU. This was done in order to provide the most accurate temperatures since motherboard temperature reading are not the most accurate depending of your motherboard. Although the Abit KX7-333 does a fairly well job at reading CPU temperatures there have been some known problems with the readings. Now for some results.

XP1800@ Stock (radiator fan at full speed)

XP1800@ Stock (radiator fan at lowest speed)

Overclocked Results:

XP1800@ 1870MHz (radiator fan at highest speed)

Those are some very impressive numbers. I achieved 1870MHz with the multiplier at 11 and a fsb of 170MHz. This is the absolute highest I could run an absolutely stable system. Any higher fsb would give me HD corruption errors. So this system has a lot more juice left in it with just a better HD. The temperatures are very impressive as well. Remember that this is a very quiet system and to achieve such great speeds at 38 degrees Celsius sure is sweet.
