The next design element that this would be a first for this reviewer, PCI card locks. The lock downs simply slide down into place holding a gate or card with no need for tools or screws. No more sliced fingers, or lost screws!

Located just above the PCI slots is the second 120mm fan for exhausting hot air from the case. Since the case is a little deeper than an average case, and the five 3.5” drive bays are located in the front (and turned 90 degrees), running power cords to all the drive bays is somewhat tricky. Keep this in mind when purchasing the power supply, as you should verify the cords will be long enough to reach all the necessary places in the case.

On the back plane adjacent to the power supply is another added feature that Silverstone chose to implement, a cable clip. This is a priceless addition to all serious computer users. Most builders desire cable and wire routing that is clean and non airflow resistant. This clip makes bundling your cables and excess wires outside the PSU much easier.

Conclusion:

This case is definitely one to keep in mind for those of you with heat concerns or have quite a few hard drives to mount. The high gloss paint job is an aspect that will get a lot of positive attention, but will also obviously show smudges more than a traditional paint job. The tool-less design is a point any extreme techie can apprecaite, due to seemingly constant hardware swapping. There is very little to not like about the SST-TJ05 Temjin 5 case. The fact that you have plenty of room and plenty of air flow is always going to be a plus, as long as the noise level is kept to a minimum. With the included 120mm fans and an additional 80mm fan running, the case is nearly silent. One aspect to be aware of is that a power supply with extra long cables is needed to deliver power to up to five drives in the bottom front internal drive bays. For a case as feature-packed as this, it is easy to grant this case our recommended product award.

We would like to give a big thanks to Sundial Micro for providing this awesome case. They have a full line of the Silverstone cases and if you like the quality of this case but need something smaller, go check out the full lineup to see if they have something else to fit your needs.
