Cooler Master Hyper 6+

Conclusion

The Hyper 6+ provides the user with some awesome cooling at a decent price. Coming in at about $47, this heatsink gives you great performance without the jet turbine sound of many high-performance heatsinks. Furthermore, it'll give you some room when pushing your computer to the max.

There are a few problems that Coolermaster could iron out to really make this product shine. First would be the inclusion of a normal molex converter so that the fan can be connected to the PSU directly, giving you a higher fan speed at all times. Since the mounting hardware issue has been resolved I cannot count that against the heatsink. Another change that would be awesome is the option to utilize a higher RPM fan, perhaps having a Hyper 6++ or even an adapter for a 120mm fan, mounting a 120+CFM Panaflow to this thing would result in killer performance, perhaps I will jury-rig something and update the review with results from an experiment.

Overall, this heatsink is awesome. Good price, great performance, and noise levels that even my wife finds decent. Add in the universal mounting, the LED fan, and the simple "WOW" factor of this heatsink and it's a winner package. I definitely recommend this part to anybody looking for something easier than water but better than the average heatsink.

Techwarelabs is happy to give this heatsink the Editors Choice award.
