Today, we take a look at Cooler Master’s newest cooling solution, the V8.  The V8 is a stylish heat sink that has a big mean look about it.  It’s quite large and heavy and even its name implies this.  When you buy a pickup truck would you rather have a V6 or a V8? Ignoring the price of gas, the choice is very clear: V8. I’m taking out my Thermaltake 850i to install this heat sink so my expectations are pretty high for its performance.  Given that I have an AMD 9950 that consumes 140 watts of power under load, it’s important that any cooling solution I use be able to wisp the heat away from my processor to keep it cool. Next we’re going to take a look at some of the features and specifications of this monster of a heatsink and then we’ll see how it performs.
