3D Galaxy LCS Cooler

Let’s take a look at how Gigabyte markets the system and the system specifications according to Gigabyte

The 3D Galaxy Cooler has compatibility with all of the major CPU sockets. Other highlights include ½ inch PVC tubing and a copper based waterblock with a turbulence causing internal design to maximize heat transfer. All of these design elements look to add up to a winning design. The only area of concern is the radiator, a major cooling factor which is a 4 part/path design and of aluminum construction. Truthfully as a cooling enthusiast myself I have always been partial to a copper tubing/aluminum fin designed radiator which has the best thermal characteristics. We will admit that had Gigabyte chosen a copper/aluminum radiator the price of the kit would probably have been higher and thus not as attractive to consumers. Gigabyte did choose to implement a copper waterblock which is a nice to see in a retail kit as opposed to aluminum.
