Benchmarks -

The benchmarking consisted of running the card stock first. The card was set through a few basic benchmarks such as 3dMark 2001 SE and 3D Mark05 while testing with a thermal gun to record the temps of the heatsink and the temp of the RAM chips.

Stock -

VGA Temp while running the 3DMarks raised the temp of the hearsink to 120 degrees. The RAM chips varried between 89degrees F. and 97 degrees F.

VF700-CU Installed -

The heatsink was installed and the PC was warmed up again by letting it sit for 5 mins before starting the tests (just like the stock benchmark). The temp of the heatsink during the 3Dmark benchmarks lowered the temp of the VGA cpu to 116 to 118 degree F. The RAM chips also dropped a few degrees, but only by three or four degrees.

This result looked very promissing.

This result left us a little puzzled as it is just a few point less then the stock benchmark, but in the end V700-cu is extremly quite to the point that we were unable to hear the fan at all.
