Benchmarking 1600MHz:

CPU-Z Memory @ 1600MHz

We see from the image on the left that the RAM is running at 800.1MHz, so 800.1 x 2 = 1600.2MHz. We also see that our timings are 8-11-11-30. This does not correspond to our 9-9-9-27 as seen on the previous page, but I'm sure they could be tweaked to match.

RightMark Memory Stability:

RightMark Memory Stability

The RightMark Memory Stability test test took 10 minutes, 57 seconds, and verified that there were 0 test errors. This is compared to the Memory Stability test at 1375MHz, which took 10 minutes, 56 seconds.

Memtach v0.93 Alpha:

The Memtach benchmark took 26.67 seconds to run at 1600MHz. This is compared to the same test at 1375MHz, which took 27.44 seconds. As you can see from the picture above, the following results were extracted:

Test Name:
Min MB/sec
Avg MB/sec
Max MB/sec
memset @ 1375MHz
2215.2
2403.2
2432.1
memcpy @ 1375MHz
1678.7
1866.3
1901.2
memset @ 1600MHz
2254.8
2469.0
2503.6
memcpy @ 1600MHz
1867.7
1926.2
1945.6

This agrees with our expected conditions, which shows that faster frequencies produce faster test speeds.

Performance Test 6.1:

Performance Test 6.1

Performance Test 6.1 shows us that the Kingston DDR3-1600 RAM running at 1600MHz gives us 581.7 operations per second, the Memory Mark result shows an average of 655.7, and a PassMark rating of 118.0. We saw earlier that the Kingston DDR3-1600 RAM running at 1375MHz gives us 567.9 operations per second, the Memory Mark result shows an average of 652.6, and a PassMark rating of 117.5.

RightMark Multi-Threaded Memory Test:

RightMark Multi-Threaded Memory Test

The RightMark test was run on the RAM at 1600MHz giving us 4 minutes, 03 seconds. This compares to the previous run at 1375MHz giving us 3 minutes, 58 seconds.

SiSoft Sandra XII:

Memory Latency

During the Cache and Memory test, the Kingston DDR3-1600 kit registered 35.932 GB/sec. This did not rank well with our SiSoft test, as it is essentially based on the RAM timings against DDR2 RAM with lower timings. The previous test at 1375MHz ranked 35.332 GB/sec.

The same rule applies to the Memory Bandwidth test. The tighter the RAM timings, the better the results. Our tests show the memory bandwidth for the DDR3-1375 RAM at 1600MHz were 5896MB/sec for Int buffered iSSE2, and 5875MB/sec for Float buffered iSSE2. This compares to 13275MHz at 5821MB/sec for Int buffered iSSE2, and 5791MB/sec for Float buffered iSSE2.

Finally, our Memory Latency test for 1600MHz shows 75ns, ranking #1 against the other Processor/Chipset combos. This compares to 79ns for 1375MHz.
