As mentioned earlier Nexus also have case fans. The labs received an 80mm, 92mm and a 120mm extreme fans. All fans are designed for create the least amount of noise. The 80mm fan is flaunting a 17.6dB[A], the 92mm fan advertising its 19.2dB[A] and the 120mm's 22.8dB[A]. With these fans being focused on the least amount of noise Nexus designed the fans with a very low RPM, which with the same fan blade configuration there is a lot less air flow in comparison to the average gamers case fans where the amount of air flow is critical. Nexus' 80mm fan rates the RPM at 1,500, 17.6Dba and a CFM of 20.2. The specs by competitor fans are 2,600RPM and 34CFM with 30DBA. I hooked up each fan and all where noticeably quite. I install the 80mm fan on the window of my case for this review. Honestly, I couldn't hear anything from it at first. Since the fan was connected to the door of the case I took the door and hooked the fan up to an independent power supply and mother board in order to only hear the fan alone and the results were just air moving through the fan. There were no sounds from the motor powering the fan blades or even the fan blades slicing the air. This is quite the impressive fan in comparison to the ANTEC fans I was running in my system before this. The Nexus fan comes with the four pin power connector and three pin motherboard connector. This is convenient when you don't have one power connection option, you can rely on the other.

Nexus 80mm fan shown above was mounted to the side panel on the benchmark system.

Nexus 120MM fan shown above had a florescent color scheme to it to reflect the black light you may have in you system.

Conclusion: The case fans that Nexus sells are extremely quite and do have there place in the PC market. If your looking to have air flow in a standard PC and don't want to hear the whine of the fan or even the motors, then the Nexus line is what your looking for. Installing on of these fans would not be recommended in an extreme PC for large amounts of cooling. If your looking to use the Nexus fans and have a large amount of cooling, then installing several of these fans in your system wouldn't be detrimental as each fan uses a fraction of the power of its competitors.
