Albatron PX845PEV Pro Motherboard

Review by Navid Mortezaei on 02.11.2003

Packaging/What you get:

Packaging

The Albatron PX845PEV Pro comes with the traditionally styled boxed from Albatron. This traditional packaging is used on almost all Albatron motherboards out on the market today. The styling of this box is very simple, yet nice. Its coloured silver with the albatron logo in the middle, with a quarter of the box coloured purple.

What you get

The construction of this box is in two layer format, the top layer are all your accessories and manuals, and the bottom you have the motherboard itself. When you open the box you see the following: FDD Cable, ATA100 IDE Cable, Driver CD, and the Manual.

CD

Manual

The manual is about 120 pages thick and it comes in three languages (including English). This manual is very indepth and it has covered everything from about the motherboard to troubleshooting. You shouldn't have any problems understanding the manual.

Ribbon Cables

This motherboard comes with one ATA100 IDE Cable and one FDD Cable. Nowadays not a lot of people use their floppy hard drive. But Albatron should have still included a longer FDD cable due to the bad positioning of the FDD connector.

DIY

Once we remove the top layer of the box, we see a DIY Installation guide and the motherboard itself underneath. The DIY installation guide is a very quick and helpful guide to installing the motherboard.

Motherboard in anti-static bag

When we remove the DIY installation guide we see the motherboard itself wrapped in an anti-static bag.
