The FIC K8-800T comes in an impressive package, this includes all of the following:

- A Serial ATA to Molex power cable

Noticably absent from the initial release of this motherboard was an AMD 64 mounting barcket which is required to mount the heatsink for an AMD 64. Not having the mounting bracket makes mounting the retail heatsink nearly impossible. This has been changed and the bracket is now included in all motherboard releases. The included bracket has a standard plastic top and a metal bottom brace that has a foam top with an adhesive stip cover. This might cause some concern as it is afterall being used up against a PCB board and being put under pressure which might cause it to come into contact with solder joints on the bottom. The possibility for an electrical short exists here and the FIC engineers might want to re-think the design of this brace. Other AMD 64 boards come with a plasticbottom brace that shouldnt post a problem. On the positive side the metal brace provides excellent strength and should not flex allowing for better heat transfer.
