Test Setup:

For testing the FIC K8-800T, Techwarelabs choose to use the AMD 64 3000+. The AMD64 3000+ is currently the best buy in terms of price for performance, its also currently the most popular of the AMD64 lineup and represents what most consumers would buy if selecting an AMD64 for thier machine. Techwarelabs test bed setup was configured as follows:

FIC K8-800T
Crucial PC3200 (DDR400) 1GB (2x512)
Western Digital 800JB
Radeon 9800 Pro 256
DVDRW
CDRW
AMD64 3000+

For the purposes of testing, Windows XP Professional 32 bit was used. Windows XP 64 bit edition is not a viable choice for the mainstream market at this point in time due to stability and avilability. Drivers and installation is no different for the AMD64 as it is fully 32bit compliant.

Bios

The FIC K8-800T uses an PheonixAwardBios. The configuration of the Bios will therefore be very familiar to many users.
