SiSoft Sandra 2003

We found the Achilles' Heel of the M847LU appears to be its memory performance. In no way does this cripple the M847LU, as it only trails the popular VIA KT333 by a mere 3% and the Nforce2 by about 10%. The Dual-channel DDR implementation on the Nforce2 allows it to keep the competition at bay.

The M847LU accomplishes a great feat by outperforming the popular VIA KT333 and KT400 chipsets in the CPU Benchmark of Sandra 2003. It is also not far behind the Nforce2.

PCMark2002

Again, the PCChip M847LU out does the VIA-based motherboard solutions and achieves par with the Nforce2 in CPU score. However, the M847 places last in memory score. Hard drive performance on the M847LU is terrific, besting the both the KT333 and Nforce2.

Content Creation 2002

PCChips's M847LU proves capable in the multi-tasking environment of the Content Creation 2002 benchmark, keeping right up with the rest of the gang.
