Windows Server "Longhorn"

Before we begin, it's a good idea to take a look at the system requirements. The difference between Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server "Longhorn" is very much like the difference between Windows XP and Windows Vista. There are some radical changes and some subtle ones. The interface has immediate "Vista" overtones to it and as such we expected the hardware requirements to be quite high. We installed Longhorn using both the minimum and the recommended hardware settings and the difference was amazing. Lets take a look at the requirements.

Longhorn Server Types and Requirements:

According to Microsoft, Longhorn will be available in the following server product types and will have the following hardware requirements.
