We have had excellent communication with Killer Notebooks and all questions were answered quickly and to our satisfaction. The Assassin came with personalized service, hardware tweaking, and even going the extra mile to try and eliminate any amount of heat that can be dissipated through the addition of extra heatsinks as well as surface preparation with Artic Silver 5 thermal compound and lapping of the heat absorbing interfaces for better heat dissipation (you will not find thermal tape in these notebooks). It is worth noting that at this time the Assassin is not offered in an Intel Core 2 Duo flavor. This is unfortunate as the Core 2 Duo is the current king in the mobile department and would have provided even greater performance. The numbers of this laptop ,however, are not to be taken lightly as you will see shortly. We were pleasantly surprised to see the Assassin come in at 11lbs which is fairly light especially for a 20 inch notebook.
