Overall, I was extremely impressed by the results of the LiteOn DH-4B1S-08. It was able to keep up with the DVD-CD reading and writing speeds, while adding the newer blu-ray disc format to its list. Having a single drive that is able to read and write blu-ray discs, DVD's, and CDs is remarkable. The availability to completely replace your current optical drive solution allows those who don't have any available 5.25" drive bays to upgrade and still be able to use all of the features their older optical drive offered.
Including a BD-RE disc (a $20 value) will allow you to mess around with your new blu-ray burner without having to worry about burning something wrong or something you may not have wanted. In addition to the BD-RE, they included the Cyberlink BD Solution software which is an all-in-one solution to all of your blu-ray needs.
Although this may set you back a whooping $359.99, it is well worth it if you are looking for a nice high performance all-in-one solution for your optical needs. LiteOn thought of everything when they engineered this device and they definitely surpassed their expectations.
