As you can see, the keyboard is quite what the name implies, Ultra Slim. Yep, the keyboard itself is shorter than a US Dime, standing only 5/8 of an inch off of the table top. The slick low profile looks is a great addition to a keyboard such as this.

Software

The Keyboard comes with a basic driver CD that can be used to install the drivers if needed. The keyboard worked with no problems as a plug and play in both Windows XP and Vista, although on an older version of windows or other operating systems it may not, thus the reason for the disk.

Testing / Performance

The Logisys Ultra Slim Keyboard looks and functions very much like the normal Laptop Keyboard. With the keys being low-profile and easily pushed it provides a more comfortable environment, allowing for those long hours of typing product reviews. All of the hot keys functioned appropriately and worked fine with the default drivers included with windows XP. The only downfall that i have noticed in the keyboard is that after a while the indicator lights start to become distracting.

When looking at a keyboard you must not only look at it as is it good for your normal office workspace use, but also all those long hours you spend playing video games as well. So with that on my mind, I decided to test it out by playing a couple of the most popular video games, such as Crysis, Doom 3, and Half Life 2 Episode 2. The layout of the keyboard is the same as most normal keyboard making it an easy transition to transfer from an older keyboard to this one. Overall I had no problem tracking my fingers to match the game controls and it functioned well.

Conclusion

The Logisys Ultra Slim keyboard has some very nice features and overall seems to be an excellent keyboard. There were no problems using it in both everyday use and hardcore gaming. There happened to be o problems with the plug and play drivers, the simplicity of just plugging it in and having it work right out of the box was a great feeling. The only downfall that I had noticed was that the notification lights for Caps, Num, and Scroll Locks were rather bright and caused minor distractions. You can find this keyboard at newegg for a low price of $19.99, which makes this keyboard a great buy.
