Logitech MX300 Optical Mouse

Conclusion:

I personally own two of the previous models of this mouse based on this design, the Logitech Optical Wheel Mouse (800 dpi) and the Logitech iFeel Mouse (800 dpi). Despite my satisfaction with these mice, I would still recommend an upgrade from these mice (which are very good mice in their own aspect) to the MX300 based on the awesome improvements that Logitech has made to their optical sensor as well as the convenience of an extra button. The MX300 provides improved precision, virtually eliminating skips and lags. This advancement in precision allows for even greater accuracy in gaming, websurfing, and everyday use. I personally bought this mouse myself, and I can tell you that it is definitely worth the price.

Harry's Opinion:

Personally, I feel that Logitech has hit a home run with their relatively new line of mice.  Their optical sensing technology has improved by great bounds from when it was released a few years back.  Personally, all of the grievances (optical lag, skipping, etc) that I've had with optical mice have been eliminated with Logitech's new MX technology.  I've used Mike's MX300 for quite some time now, and I really like the feel and response of this mouse (and if anything, it'd give a definite improvement to your first-person shooter game).  The MX300 is very aggressively priced, and it features that classic unihanded shape (although, personally, I'm more of a fan of Logitech's contoured designs.

For more information, you can visit Logitech's information page on the MX300 Optical Mouse.

-Great value

Cons:

-Still lacks the extra features (such as the extra buttons and cordless capabilities) found on the other mice in the MX series
-Some consumers prefer the contoured shape of the MX500 and MX700
